Power Hour Miracles!‏ July 25, 2016

We got Firos' gelato last Monday- delish!
One of our members started this fire-grilled
pizza place in Lawton, and it's our addiction.
I don't really have much to say today, but as for our area, it's going. We do have prepared people that we are finding and we are continuing to see miracles each day!
Also, when I shared transfer information with you all I told you wrong! Hermana Ryan is actually a travelling Sister Training Leader. So for her last 5 weeks she is going to spend two weeks, two weeks, one week, with different sister companionships in the mission. It's something that President Mansell is doing with different leaders throughout the mission- it's exciting to say the least! So Hermana Ryan leaves tonight with President and Sister Mansell to go somewhere! President Mansell hasn't decided... haha
One of the miracles was the power hour we did last Monday evening. We had a lesson set-up in the home of our branch president and his family (the Buckner's), but it ended up cancelling so we went over anyways and shared a spiritual thought, asked them to pray for us and went out finding/tracting using family history as a foot-in-the-door approach. It worked miracles!
The first home we stopped at we talked to the kids out front and asked if their parents were home that we could talk to. They went and got their mom, Liz, and we had an excellent discussion with her and family history relating to being able to know where we came from and how we can use this and the gospel to teach others! We got a return appointment with her and learned that our branch president's kids always play with her kids! (This lesson fell through, but Liz said that she would like to wait until her husband is home to meet with us with him!)
The next home was a "random" home that had cars outside that we decided to knock at. Finally on the 3rd knock a lady came to the door, seemingly uninterested, who explained that they had been out back. We started talking about family history and she still wasn't super interested in it but her mom LOVES family history so she sent her the link to family history from the card. We continued talking with her and something changed. We brought in the gospel of Jesus Christ more and she started opening up. She shared with us her struggles of the past year and accepted a return appointment. Hermana St. Clair and Sister
Bueno Vista! My home stake is BuenA Vista!
Wow, look at that! That's cool!
Buckner visited them and had an incredible appointment on Thursday. Fun background miracle- right before we left the Buckner's, we asked if there is anyone they could think of that we could go try, and they were like "Um... Lincoln's (their 5 year old) soccer coach lives down the street that way, but we don't know which house is his. It's on the left side after the intersection but we don't know exactly which one." "Do you all remember his name?" "Coach?" Haha okay.... Well, when Sister Buckner went to the appointment, guess who opened the door? Coach's son, Tanner, Lincoln's teammate! Mark and Ashlee, were very much interested in the gospel. The first appointment went almost perfect with them, they are excited to read the Book of Mormon and learn the truthfulness for themselves! They didn't come to church Sunday, but we will be meeting with them again Thursday!
Then as we were heading back to the Buckner's after an hour, with 10 minutes to get back home by 9, a man calls out to us "what are you all preaching?", so we quickly turn back around and start talking with him as well! Bennie was super interested in what we had to say and gladly accepted a Book of Mormon! He's in the Elders in Lawton's area, so we will pass him on to them and it will be great!
So, miracles happen and people are being prepared all around us! The Lord's work is surely hastening! I love you all and hope you week is wonderful! Chao!
Con amor,
Hermana Nachelle Sharon Hunt (:
