Hermana Hilton and her trainee (Hermana.... Applegate?)  and me and mine! Hi you all! Things are going pretty dandy here in Anadarko South (Elgin) area! Hermana St. Clair is amazing and I'm so grateful to be working with her! I feel like we click rather well which is such a huge blessing, but I also I feel like it is really easy for me to have everything done how I'm thinking and how I've done it in the past with her because I'm prideful and she isn't. haha Hermana St. Clair is really humble and open to learning and doing everything how others want things done. She doesn't create contention and she doesn't want to offend anyone- which is super great, but it is taking conscious effort on my part to push her to take the lead and, if there needs be, to allow awkward silences while teaching to help her know it's her turn to jump in. It's been really fun getting to know her and learn from her though! She is just wonderful and full of charity and exc...

Week of Miracles!‏ May 30, 2016

So my goal for a new transfer is to begin with companionship unity. You would think that I would have figured this out sooner since I've had a new companion each transfer besides one. I keep thinking back to the one transfer that I really just got off on the right foot, with Hermana Hilton, and I've been pondering on what made that transfer so great. Besides the fact that Hermana Hilton is just really easy to get along with, Sister Linton- She's an amazing member  that we've been working with!  I absolutely LOVE her! she was always asking what I thought and what were my ideas and then would go with them. She would say things like "oh, yes! That's a great idea" or "Let's do it!" and it made me feel like I was valued and appreciated. I am prideful and sometimes don't think my companions ideas are great (#sadtruth), but that is my goal- to change my thinking and ability to ask for my companion's counsel and then be excited to try i...

Hi you all! Well, this week had it's up and downs... But on the brightside, I've realized that Hermana Brown has really helped me to learn how to talk to people and how to immediately start teaching and testifying while tracting/talking to people who are out and about. I felt like I had it down in Spanish but in English it's been such a struggle! So I'm learning a lot from Hermana Brown especially in those ways! Service at Sister Bartlett's! We helped by caulking,  wood filling and painting her kitchen table before they move!   As for our area, we saw so many miracles and had great planting seed moments in tracting Thursday evening and the next two days especially, we had some major breakthrough moments with several less-active members! One of them was Sister B. who we learned was struggling with smoking again, but is trying to quit and trying to help another less-active quit as well!  Second, we visited a young man, Benjamin, again this week and learned th...

Beauty!   Well, so this week, was a week. I am grateful to be able to do service, have set appointments, and the opportunity to study. When President Hinckley said that the best remedy to any kind of missionary struggle is work, he was completely right in saying that! I know that is the best thing for me to do even when I don't want to, it's just getting going that's a struggle, but it sure does work! It feels like almost everyone dropped us this week, an incredibly solid recent convert from February, told us that she doesn't want us contacting her anymore, a family that seemed really solid that we were starting to teach told us maybe in a few weeks they would have time, and it seemed like everyone we were meeting with, we dropped. We decided with a lot of our solid families moving out, that we really need to be working on our branch. We aren't able to get many members out with us to teach, or the investigators we are working with have dropped us, so we have d...
