There are SO many miracles! Before I share them, Sister Dopp is from Idaho Falls, ID. She's been out for a year coming this Friday and she's wonderful! She is the sweetest person ever! Wow, can I just say CELESTIAL! I don't know why in the world I was sent to Lawton, but I definitely do NOT deserve it! It is a real phase 3 missionary work ward (the members continually tell us who they are sharing the gospel with and give us their numbers and addresses! AMAZING!) and there are more miracles happening than we have the capacity to handle! Each one of the people I have taught and seen them apply the atonement, none of it was because of me, that's for sure, but I'm grateful to have been a part of it! I came to Lawton and have been sick with a cold (I'm almost better though!) every day and have slept until the latest time possible while taking medication or getting a little something to eat, and yet we have more people than I can count on ALL of my digits that a...

I'm Hopping the Border! August 22,2016

The Lee/Teohanu family! We go and help  them in their garden each week and then  they feed us (: It's a ton of fun! Hi you all! So... Transfers are here. Again. And.... I'm going to be serving with my best friend/identical twin..... Sister Dopp! In Lawton 1st Ward! Sister Dopp is currently my Sister Training Leader and I absolutely LOVE her, but I'm staying English yet another transfer which has been hard for me. I miss serving the Hispanic people SO much! But there are some cool miracles that I'm pretty sure are going to happen because I'm going to Lawton (by the way, it borders my current branch- hence the email title)! I've gone on exchanges in that area twice, I already know my way around my new area because of exchanges and we go there for P-day usually, I've already met a couple of their investigators and one of them, Mark, is incredibly smart and amazing and should be getting baptized soon- the last lesson I had with him, has been the best lesso...

"If I hadn't of, the world would have blown up!"‏ August 15, 2016

Exchanges   Hi you all! I had the best exchange ever this week with Sister Dopp, and can I just say I absolutely love her! It was an amazing two days with the temple on Tuesday and then exchanges with her on Wednesday! One of the things that I learned from her was this phrase "If I hadn't of, the world would have blown up." She tells herself that when she realizes she's made a mistake, learns from it and moves on. It's not really true, but it's been helping me a bit to remember that God knows what he's doing and even the wrongs we make in life have a purpose in the big picture! This and a talk that Elder Hilton shared with us a few weeks ago from a BYU devotional have been on my mind a lot and have been helping me. The talk is called "What Happens When Life Gets One Degree Colder?" and there is a phrase near the end that I keep telling myself "in the very moment when it was
needed, her heart changed". In God's timing we lea...

Best Week Ever! August 8, 2016

We made cookies to thank and love  some awesome members! Hi you all! Wow, life is so good! Man, oh man! This week has been incredible! We have seen SO many miracles! Through God's workings we had members out with us at least one time every day last week- that doesn't happen in this small spread out branch! It was the best! We've dropped all but 3 investigators (and will probably drop one or two of them this week) and met with Joel, one of our solid progressing investigators, with the Lawton sisters to pass him off to them since he moved there. Yet we are still seeing a ton of miracles here in Elgin! As an ending point with Joel, we had a powerful lesson with the Sisters and their bishop at the church. He had read up to 2 Nephi Then we got HEART ATTACKED  by our AMAZING Buckner family!  Man, I love them! The bestest surprise! 2, went to church yesterday in Lawton, and is progressing to his baptismal date of September 3rd! It was a huge testimony builder th...

Miracles, Again!‏ August 1, 2016

Hi you all!! (: I could seriously title all of my emails as miracles! Because the Lord's work is hastening! We have been seeing a ton of miracles and we have so many people that we are teaching/beginning to teach that I'm sure are prepared and ready to be baptized! (: Then while we were weekly planning, we had this referral from our Branch Mission Leader for two of his great-grandchildren who want to be baptized and haven't been, so we called and then texted his son, Russell, who takes care of them and set up a lesson for that night! Russell actually responded by saying "I've been waiting for you all!". Hermana St. Clair trying to shut the door with a  chain of paper clips... hahaha I love her! They then came to the branch activity Saturday and then to church yesterday! We have an appointment with them tonight with a young woman named Sydney! Which is another miracle! At church yesterday, we were talking with Sydney's mother, who was like "...

Power Hour Miracles!‏ July 25, 2016

We got Firos' gelato last Monday- delish! One of our members started this fire-grilled  pizza place in Lawton, and it's our addiction. I don't really have much to say today, but as for our area, it's going. We do have prepared people that we are finding and we are continuing to see miracles each day! Also, when I shared transfer information with you all I told you wrong! Hermana Ryan is actually a travelling Sister Training Leader. So for her last 5 weeks she is going to spend two weeks, two weeks, one week, with different sister companionships in the mission. It's something that President Mansell is doing with different leaders throughout the mission- it's exciting to say the least! So Hermana Ryan leaves tonight with President and Sister Mansell to go somewhere! President Mansell hasn't decided... haha One of the miracles was the power hour we did last Monday evening. We had a lesson set-up in the home of our branch president and his family (the ...
