Transfers! And I Crashed...? October 3, 2016

Women's Conference. It poured. One dry spot on my shirt. So I'm doing so well! Sister Dopp is great, this area is great and our quadpanionship is great (aka the Elders and Sister Dopp and I)! And guess what, it's ALL going to change! And I'm SO stoked! Transfers are this week and I'm going up to Stillwater, OK to serve with Hermana McFadden who just finished training in the Stillwater Spanish group! I'm going Spanish again!!! (: You all have no idea HOW excited I am for this!  I was still struggling with some things this past week, but after talking to President Mansell it improved greatly. There were two things I got out of this call with him and the first one was he gave me a personal rule with a goal. I am to find a piano and practice it for 20 minutes every day when I'm stressing out because President is going to have me play a piece for Christmas Conference on the 20th or 21st of December! I'm super stoked! I am going to find some more m...

When Prayers Are Answered September 19, 2016

Hola la familia mia! Mount Scott So today I just want to share some amazing miracles with you all! To start with, Monday, since we had gone out to the Holy City for preparation day, we came back and had no time to wash our car or buy any food, so we decided we would quickly wash our car and then go visit the investigators we had for a back-up plan since our appointment cancelled. As we were driving to the car wash, we realized that it was already 5:00 and that we wouldn't really have time to wash our car, so we didn't. We went and visited one of our investigators who happened to be home, and had a really great lesson on the Book of Mormon with her and set a baptismal date with her! Then throughout the week, food happened to come by from zone conference and members and we had more than enough food in our fridge to last the entire week! We were SO blessed from obedience to the proselyting schedule! Then on Saturday morning as I was praying to begin my Spanish studies, ...

A Week of Growth September 12, 2016

Pics from the Holy City outside of Lawton, OK Well, this week has been a struggle more than some other weeks with being trunky, irritable with everyone and their dog, and struggling to focus. But I got up this morning, deep cleaned the kitchen, had a wonderful study for zone conference tomorrow and then went on a spontaneous adventure with the Elders and a brother from the ward to the Holy City outside of Lawton even though I didn't really want to, and I'm feeling great! I'm pumped for Zone Conference and for the all Spanish district meeting on Friday (President Mansell is sending all of the Spanish missionaries that aren't in the city to Stillwater, OK for an all day Spanish District Meeting Friday!), and I'm actually motivated and have the desire to do missionary work again! So yesterday after a long day of church before lunch, Sister Dopp suggested we go visit a member we're working with who went to the hospital that morning. We went in and they we...

Celestial Weekend September 5, 2016

Baptism of Gabby and Krash ( Missionaries- Hermana St. Clair, Hermana Hunt, and Sister Wedemeyer) Can I just say Celestial weekend? This weekend was simply the greatest with all of the ordinances that were able to happen! I went back to Elgin for Gabby and Krash's baptism on Friday and with the Elgin crew to the temple on Saturday for Sister Buxton's endowment, and then on Sunday after church Janet, Jennelle and Triston all got baptized here in Lawton! Wow, it's been an incredible weekend especially! And God is doing it all! I feel like I'm not even doing anything! The faith of each one of these amazing children of God has built my faith SO much! So, fun fact about serving in Lawton, OK! On Sundays, I go solo- practically. We have the military base- Fort Sill- here in Lawton. So each week, the senior companion and the junior companion split for the church day. At 8 am, Sister Dopp and Elder Ricks go on base to teach the soldiers and Elder Palmer and I stay here i...
