2 months??? What???‏ - August 24, 2015

The other sisters who came in with me in  front of the mission home. 6 out of 30 missionaries were sisters and only 2 of us 6 were hermanas. Hola Amigos! Que pasa? Wow! I feel like each week is getting better and better! But this past week was the best so far! Exchanges with Hermana Beltetone were so fantastic- learning from her teaching style was very helpful and being able to talk with her and see yet another missionaries perspective was so incredibly helpful!  A big part of why I think this past week was so great was I've finally figured out why I'm really on a mission. Well, at least my goal for my mission. I wrote down a quote from my one of my Missionary Training Center teachers that says "Missionary work is for anyone but you.". I've been thinking about this quote a lot as well as the scripture that's found in Matthew, I believe, that says something along the lines of "whoever shall looseth himself for my sake shall find, but whoever keepeth ...

Peoples in Oklahoma are seriously the nicest peoples - August 17, 2015

This week has gone well, Hna. Pine and I have been trying to find more people to teach and have had a little success. We are continuing to teach Lois, a recent convert, and Karen, her daughter and a less active. We had a wonderful lesson last week with them and Karen expressed her desire to obtain a temple recommend. She's on the right track to begin working for a temple recommend and Lois is a very strong woman in her faith in Jesus Christ and is a good example to her. A little about Karen- she is amazing! During this last week, she mentioned that she had flat out quit drinking tea! She said she replaced it with Kool-Aid and we were so excited for her! She is also reading For the Strength of Youth on her phone (which I have no idea where she got the idea to read it- inspiration I would assume) and was like "you mean I have to wear sleeves? Are you kidding me? I don't have anything with sleeves!" Although she was a bit irritated, before going out to a lesson with us,...

Oklahoma Here I Come!‏ Week 5 - July 30, 2015
